The style of museum is unique. There are many civilizations and ethnographic artifacts that influence the formation of world history such as the Roman Empire, the Anatolian Seljuk State, the Ottoman Empire, the War of Independence, World Wars and the Gulf War in the museum. You will see works that show development of military tools as well as economical, cultural and sociological results of wars. You can observe the period from Roman Empire till Gulf War. All of the works are geninue. You will sight hundreds of diorama and clothed models.
There are many special accessories and weapons as well as rare artifacts in the museum. You should especially see the swords on the stamp of Anatolian Seljuk State and the only example of 18th century Zulfikar per-edged machete. You will also get opportunity to view military clothes of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. There are 3 different clothes of him on exhibition.
There are 7 floors and floors consist of a sprawling exhibition space.
You will see many works about social, cultural and economical development of Ottoman Empire. The entrance of ground level has artifacts of Roman Empire, Seljuki State, and Ottoman period till 17th century. You will also notice sword of Anatolian Seljuki period, holy shirt, machete, pistols, mace, ax, etc… Furthermore you can sight diorama of the Conquest of Istanbul.
First of all, you should see the machete of 18th century which made in Zulfikar style. In addition you will see artifacts of Ottoman Empire between 17th century and 19th century. Most noteworthy swords, pistols, flags, clothes are on display with by chronological order. You will also notice the tiger at this floor.
You will see the artifacts of Ottoman Empire’s last period. Ottoman Empire were in many battles even World War I at first quarter of 20th century. You will also sight three differet clothes of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk which he wore at wars at this floor. Furthermore you will view dioramas about important stages of wars.
Most of artifacts are from last period of Ottoman Empire, World War I and Independence Battle of Turkish Republic. You will also see some relics which tells about World War II.
Most of relics give information about World War II. You will also sight artifacts of Korea War, Vietnam War, Cyprus Operations of Türkiye, Gulf Wars.
